About Us

Adventure and travel are a part of a lifestyle many of us embrace.  The idea for this expedition was inspired by a desire to accomplish a great journey and encourage others to follow their dreams.  In early 2010, stirred by the creators of Big Rocks and Long Props DVDs, Patrick Carter and Aaron Stahl planned an aerial expedition around the Caribbean Circle, documenting and sharing the adventure via social media networks.

To accomplish this mission, they knew they needed a world-class team.

Patrick brings over 5,000 hours of flight experience, in everything from large business jets to light-sport aircraft.  Patrick also works full-time as a production test pilot for a major manufacturer and earned an associate membership in the prestigious Society of Experimental Test Pilots at the age of 25.  At 23 Patrick was also the youngest flight instructor to earn the designation of Master Aerobatic Flight Instructor with International Aerobatic Club.  Patrick will be acting as the Chief Pilot for the trip.

Aaron Stahl is an adventurer and seasoned traveler with an entrepreneurial spirit. At the age of 16 he achieved the rank of Eagle Scout while also participating in all three of the Boy Scout High Adventure Bases.  He has since traveled to over 25 countries on 5 continents.  Some of his adventures include; circumnavigating the globe on Semester at Sea, running with the bulls in Spain, chasing and filming tornados in Oklahoma, hearing Fidel Castro speak in Cuba, motorcycle road tripping across Vietnam, and seeing the Big 5 in Africa.  He is also a private pilot and aspiring aerobatic pilot under Patrick’s tutelage.  Aside from his love of adventure, he owns his own consulting firm and is developing www.jobshadow.com to help others learn about career options and discover their passions.

To document the trip properly, they enlisted the skills of Alex Kent, an expert photographer with nearly a decade of experience. He is a Certified Photographic Consultant from the Photography Marketing Association and has been instructing photography workshops since 2006 for Bedford Camera & Video.  Alex has also instructed workshops and classes for the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, University of Central Arkansas, and Starlight Ridge Retreat Center.  In 2008, he traveled 7 Alex Kent taking a photo in Southern Utahweeks over 7,500 miles across 11 states camping, hiking, and photographing the West.  Alex is obtaining his Leave No Trace Master Certification spring 2011 in order to combine his photographic teaching experience with his outdoor skills to teach wilderness awareness in combination with photography.

Using the professional skills of each team member, the voyage will provide stunning documentation of an adventure of a lifetime and will push others to follow their own adventurous quest.

Hello from Manchester, North-West England UK – you are a great group of lads and I dont know if you have ever come to the UK or to my native Ireland – lots of great photos to be had here on this side of the Atlantic if you ever decide to plan a trip – the West Coast of Ireland would give you beautiful views of the rugged Irish Landscape including the Aran Islands from Kerry (Farranfore – EIKY), Shannon (EINN) up as far as Connaught (Knock – EIKN), Sligo (EISG) & Donegal could be suitable bases for you in the Emerald Isle

Best Wishes,
